How to perform point-to-point video transmitter and receiver by Lan

Please prepare two ZowieBox for point-to-point video transmitter and receiver. One acts as an encoder (eg: 192.168.5.11) to convert the HDMI input signal source to NDI, and the other acts as a decoder (eg: 192.168.5.12) to decode the NDI source and output it to the display.

1. Connection method

ZowieBox supports two connection methods for point-to-point image transmission:

Method 1: Connect two ZowieBox to the PoE switch on the same LAN, as shown in the figure below.

Method 2: Use Type C to power two ZowieBox and use a network cable to directly connect the two devices, as shown in the figure below.

When using the second method to connect, it is recommended to enter the web control interface of the two ZowieBox after setting the parameters, click Setting->Network ->LAN. Turn off IP (DHCP), click Save and Restart.

2. Encoder setting

Please plug in an HDMI video signal for the encoder. The correct resolution can be identified on the web page and the image in the preview interface is correct. The recommended signal resolution is 1080p60/1080p50.

After entering the web control interface of the encoder (for example: 192.168.5.11), click Setting->Streamig->NDI, turn on the NDI button and restart the encoder.

3Decoder setting

Enter the web control interface of the decoder (for example: 192.168.5.12), click Settings->System Settings->Working Mode, and switch the working mode to decoding mode.

In the web control interface of the decoder (example 192.168.5.22), click Setting->Streaming->Decoder, and open the required NDI stream for decoding. Connect the HDMI output to the display to view the decoded video.
