USB VBI Decoder II

This is a multi-line external USB VBI/Teletext data decoder. It can be used for both Laptop and Desktop computer in which the space and cost are significant. Its Plug and Play architecture simplifies the installation, eliminating the need to specify I/O address, Interrupt Request Lines(IRQ) or DMA channel numbers. No power adapter required, just plug it in any USB port and turn it on. The onboard tuner supports channels of both Cable TV and antenna. Philips latest Teletext processor SAA5284 is used for VBI data acquisition. It will acquire most existing formats of broadcast VBI and FF data.

Many applications, such as real-time stock information or VBI data recorder, require complex host PC to analyze and display incoming data. It can also used Closed Caption, Teletext and VBI data analysis tools. The USB VBI data receiver can capture all VBI data and data throughput is up to 268kbps. A general WDM driver and DLL with defined data interface are designed to provide transparent VBI data channel to application software. Third party developer can develop their own application based on the drivers. Sample software and develop kit are also provided.
